FAIUC7-30 FA Poly-Round® high-temperature, direct
food contact approved bearing insert with stainless locking sleeve
can be installed into an existing metal housing or into an EDT stainless housing

Failure
|
High temperature melts out the grease. Caustic washdown will eventually
rust 400-series stainless ball bearings, causing them to lock up. Possibility
of contamination from lubrication or rolling element breakage.
|
FA polymer and stainless sleeve are unaffected by temperature and caustic
washdown. Over time, bore of Poly-Round® will enlarge; insert
and sleeve can be replaced while housing can be reused.

Maintenance Required
|
Frequent replacement due to corrosion

Periodically inspect insert bearing to predict when to schedule
replacement. Never needs lubrication and will not contaminate edible product.
